Manage Local Files and Folders

In the local file management pane (local pane), you can manage local files and folders in the same way as in the Windows Explorer window. In specific, you can

1. Navigate through local files and folders
   
   
2. Create new local folders
   
   
3. Rename local files and folders
   
   
4. Copy / Paste local files and folders
   
   
5. Delete local files and folders
   
   
6. Set view options on local files and folders
   
   
7. Arrange files in a folder
   
   
8. View properties of local files and folders
   
   

Navigate through local files and folders

• Select the destination folder from the dropdown list on the top right corner;



• Enter a folder by double-clicking it in the local pane;
• Clickto go to the folder visited previously;
• Clickto go to the folder visited next;
• Clickto go to the parent folder.

Create new local folders

• Click onbutton to create a new folder, and specify the folder name;



• Or, right-click the local pane area, other than the file names, select Newfrom the popup menu, and choose the Folderoption.

Rename local files and folders

Click the folder/file to rename, click again or right-click and select Renamefrom the popup menu; Enter the new name, once the name edit box is shown.

Copy / Paste local files and folders

Right-click on the file / folder to copy, and select Copyfrom the popup menu; navigate to the destination folder; right-click the local pane area, other than file names, select Pastefrom the popup menu.

Delete local files and folders

Select the file / folder to delete, click onbutton or press Deletekey; Select Yesfrom the message box if you want to delete, or select Noif you don't.

Set view options on local files and folders

Select the file/folder to set view options, and click on dropdown button “View”; Select from four options: “Thumbnail”, “Large Icon”, “Small Icon”, and “Detail”

Arrange files in a folder

Right-click the local pane area, other than the file names, select Arrange Icons Byfrom the popup menu, and choose from four options: “Name”, “Size”, “Type”, and “Modify Time”.

View properties of local files and folders

Select the file/folder to view property, clickbutton , or right-click the file name, and select Propertiesfrom the popup menu.
